There kicker is the only reason think about it

every super bowl they win by 3 points

so if you take away there kicker then guess what?

ea of those games would have been won by the other team or had went into ot

without there kicker they might have won one super bowl

Only thing I don't get is why we pay these suckers to fight over a piece of leather or plastic more than people who save us and keep us alive (Doctors, Firemen, Policemen. Soldiers and Teachers.)

Yeah i completely agree..

I just dont understand the excitement, I suppose its because i wasn't brainwashed with it when i was a child. I get completely bored and disgusted whenever anyones watching it. It would be less painfull for me to watch a caterack surgery on tv then a football game. What i also dont understand is the dedication of some of these fans. Dont they see how rediculous they are falling head over heals for a product ; Being the tool's of a corporation. No thank you.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with everyone on this thread.
Football is a great American sport to watch.
The Patriots are my favorite team, being as that they are my hometown team and also what you are saying IMO is completely ridiculous. You claim that we wouldn't have won all those Superbowls without Adam Vinatieri, which might be true, but I don't get your point. You are just adding to the greatness that is Adam "Clutch" Vinatieri here, because you are basically saying without him, we wouldn't have all those rings (He kicked another game winning field goal against the Steelers today btw).
And you also keep referring him to "the kicker." Is it that you don't know his name or are you stating that the Patriots should not be allowed to have a field goal kicker just because we win at such close margins? If the latter is the case then I am utterly confused yet again, because that's just adding praise to the Patriots, since you will be saying that is the only solution in order to make it fairer for other teams in the league.

Yep.. Heard all about it. People were pissed, i could hear it out my window *lives 3 mintues walking time from the stadium* Im not a sports fan but i do love to scream "Steelers suck!" out my window just to see what people will do

Now, Vinatieri is considered the best in the league and many of games are won by the points he brings to the board but the patriots have constructed a great team with great dynamics and winning plays. I myself am not a Patriots fan by any means what so ever but you have to give credit when its do.

As for last nights game Vinatieri did make the winning points but Patriots were slapping it to the Steelers all night, how many sacks can we say 4-5. I mean total domination they should rename the Patriots the mesmers. I'm actually surprised that the game was as close as it was the way that the Steelers couldn't hold the pocket open.

Now in regards to this I feel the same way this goes also for movie stars too. Their pay scale is outlandish ofcourse the reason is that entertainment brings in such a large revenue and key names bring in even more. But just subtracting a couple million off of salaries would allow them to drop the price of tickets. I mean come on help the fans out we are the ones that give you guys jobs.

Last nights game was only that close because the Pats gave away some 14 possible points on turnovers inside the 10 yd line. You really shouldn't be able to give Pittsburg three turnovers at home and still win. Shouldn't happen.

Unless you're a championship caliber team.

When Harrison and Light went down, a part of me thought 'game over'. Maybe it's the lifelong RedSox fan in me, but I need to stop being so pessimistic.

Back to topic... the Pats won the three Superbowls for a few reasons:

- Superior coaching
- Clutch QB
- Defense
- Of course, Vinatieri

Hell, it was team effort all the way, not the individuals. They just played better and smarter, and when the game was on the line they made the plays the other teams didn't.
